Colorphon for Arsenalbox
Color Values
Since the logo of arsenalbox.net is still being developed, I cannot designate colors for it; however, the themed colors throughout the site will be as follows:
Red: R G B – 153 000 000 Hexidecimal – 990000
Black: R G B – 000 000 000 Hexidecimal – not shown
Gold: R G B – 255 204 000 Hexidecimal – FFCC00
White: R G B – 255 255 255 Hexidecimal – FFFFFF
These colors are strong colors that represent the national colors of blood (Red) and victory (White). The colors of ancient warriors (Black, Gold, White) give Arsenalbox.net a more authentic feel. The Arsenalbox logo have the colors of blood and victory which are significant in many different religions in the world. The blood representing mortality and the victory over the carnal-man within each of us. I will also make sure that the colors are agreeable with the color wheel diagram.
Web Standards
When designing a professional web page, there are certain web standards that need to be followed. Arsenalbox.net is continual with the web standards until it is finished. By following modularizations that are used to divide the tasks within the code, I have enabled users who are curious to see the coding used on Arsenalbox.net. The logo for Arsenalbox.net is simple and easy to remember: A-Box standing for Arsenalbox. This may not be extremely unique and the design comparably simple, but it is memerable. Nothing can be more annoying to a user than code bloat. This is extra coding or extra space that is unnecessary. Despite how much has already been minimized, there are many ways to conserve and condense the space used. Images have also been compressed to an optimal size of 40K or less.
Proper working code is acceptable anywhere on the web, but for Arsenalbox, and to keept within standards, must validate according to those rules found on the W3C website. These include XHTML and CSS-1 coding standards. This helps to back up what is dicussed on this page and increase professionality. So when questions of validity and professionalism are asked, Arsenalbox programmers can "Answer that and stay fashionable." The header, footer, and navigation, including links, are used approapriately according to the standards as well. Nothing can be more difficult than getting lost on a webpage in messy coding or links that make you feel like you are in the Bermuda Triangle.
Usability
To help users know that they have entered into a professional working site, I have made the usability simple. The links and sitemap (the page that has all the links throughout the web page) are clearly marked and simple to use. No matter what page a user is on, they will be able to access the main pages and those located in the header and footer of Arsenalbox.net.
Although there are no aside links, access users will be able to easily find links to the different pages throughout Arsenalbox.net. Because of the content and total atmosphere of Arsenalbox.net, users are able to gather information quickly and not be sidetracked by a mess of media or objects that are unnecessary. There are images that users can click on to view large clear images located on the gallery page, and text information that is simple to read and comprehend. All of the sub-links are located on the sitemap page and the page that they are associated with. For example, “rituals” are located on the “Styles” page. Each page has the page name so that users can know what page they are on. Everything is necessary on Arsenalbox.net and there are not extra “clutters” to worry about. Content can easily be scanned and have a basic knowledge, a gist, of what the content is about.
SEO
SEO means Search Engine Optimization. Meta tags are used to help with this optimization. The description of my webpage is not only on the main page, but also within the Meta tags users can know what the page is about in a few short lines. Other keyword tags help for recognitions of the website when searched for in a search engine. Keywords, Meta, and different tags help to efficiently bring success and the information of the website to the masses.
ROI
ROI or "Return On Investment" is for the programmer just as much the user. Users tell their friends about cool websites, even if the website doesn’t meet professional standards. This is key because that means that anyone can make a cool webpage and have many return visits even though professional websites may not have return visits. So, it is important to think about the ROI of your website. Know your audience and their wants. Cater to their needs so that the return value is higher for each user. Depending on the website, “forms” increase profitability – even if there is no profit to be made with money, there is the website information that can be profitable for users. They need to feel it necessary to come back.
Some of my favorite websites are my favorite because they provide information in a way that draws me in. Arsenalbox.net is the same way for those interested in Muay Boran Thai boxing. They not only learn about the martial art by reading, but visually they are able to see demonstrations and images that help them understand why Muay Boran is so powerful. Because of this, Arsenalbox.net is going to be their first thought want to learn more. Some web designers like to include surveys to understand how to improve. Others simple have a comments page or FAQs (frequently asked questions) page. These are useful tools to help improve the rate of return investment.
People in general want to feel secure. This is why we have locks on doors and lights running all night; signs to let them know what street they are on and statistic that tell them how safe or the odds of safety are in their city, food, or health. Knowing how to give users that assurance, despite the subject mater of a website, bring them back to the website more often. This is a sign of good web development.
Conclusion
In conclusion, if all these principles can be met on a website, then the success of the website will improve and become solid. The only thing to worry about after that is how to move with the tides of change. Staying up to date with the turning times will greatly increase the purpose of a website—a challenge that all web programmers have to become comfortable with or else be left behind. This kind of contribution is very important to the world in general. One person can shift the paradigm just the same as a website can be innovative to the current times to come.
